Children living in the Minden Village are transported to and from our
school by Minden Bus Service. Forms and details regarding times and bus stops
are available from the bus company or drivers. A Code of Conduct for
School Children Travelling on Buses has been developed by Queensland
Transport. This is a set of behavioural guidelines for students to follow when
travelling on the school buses. It includes procedures for bus operators to
follow when managing student behaviour associated with school bus travel. The
code also provides a clear process to deal fairly and quickly with incidents
involving inappropriate behaviour. Whilst every effort is made to support
parents / carers and bus drivers to encourage children to choose appropriate behaviour
when travelling on the bus, the responsibility rests with the bus driver and
company to enforce the Code of Conduct. If you have any concerns or complaints
resulting from your children travelling on the bus, please direct your issues
to the bus company.
