Under 8s Day
Under 8s Week is an annual event that has been proudly running in Queensland for over sixty years and is coordinated by Early Childhood Australia, Queensland Branch.
Minden State School hosts an annual Under 8s Day event in late May which involves many local small schools and community groups such as SES, Queensland Ambulance, Queensland Fire and Rescue, Queensland Police, RSPCA, Somerset Council and more. Children up to eight years of age are involved in a morning of fun and learning as they participate in a variety of interactive activities.
This valuable community event, which has been running since 2013, has attracted in excess of 200 children from neighbouring schools, Kindergartens and Child Care Centres in previous years.
