Learning with Technologies
All classes at Minden have access to a range of technologies including the Computer Lab, laptops and iPads which are used for whole class, small group and individualized learning. A variety of other technologies are also used in classrooms such as interactive boards, cameras, robotics kits, etc. These devices enable teachers to present topics of work in motivating ways and enable students to develop 21st century skills whilst promoting hands-on learning. All classrooms are connected to our wireless network.
Learning with iPads
The use of an iPad in the classroom is allowing a different way to deliver lessons and engage with students. iPads can be used by an individual student, a group of students or a whole classroom. They are portable, quick and easy to use and encourage problem solving, critical thinking and information fluency. iPads are used across all year levels to engage and motivate students and to make learning more accessible for students with disabilities, they also allow for the creation of new tasks previously inconceivable without such devices.
